PAOK VS OMONIA MATCH PREVIEW (UEL MATCHDAY 5)

PAOK VS OMONIA MATCH PREVIEW (UEL MATCHDAY 5)

December 2nd 2020

By: Alexander Koutakos

After PAOK’s 3-2 defeat against PSV Eindhoven, all eyes are set towards PAOK’s match against Omonia. Omonia on the other hand recently lost to Granada 2-1. PAOK took a 2-0 lead  against PSV, but then conceded 3 avoidable goals. On the contrary, Omonia scored an equalizer against Granada(1-1) but then conceded very late in the match. Thus, resulting in a 2-1  loss for the Cypriots.

Below is my preview of PAOK vs Omonia;

Prediction of each team’s respective line-up and formation:

Prediction of PAOK’s line-up(4-3-3)

 Z. Zivkovic(GK)

Prediction of Omonia’s line-up(3-4-2-1)

Fabiano(GK)

Lang, Luftner, Hubocan,

Omonia’s latest 5 game form:

Based on recent form PAOK  has a huge advantage over Omonia( 12 pts vs 2pts).

PAOK’s Injuries and doubtful players:  Dimitris Giannoulis

Omonia’s Injuries and doubtful players: Eric Bautheac

Prediction Of The Game Itself:

I predict that PAOK will beat Omonia 3-1.  PAOK have looked amazing in-front of goal, however the defence has been really poor this season. I think that Tzolis will score 1 and Andrija Zivkovic will score twice. I also think that Crespo will score on his own net.

Score Log:

PAOK 3( 5’ Tzolis, 37 A. Zivkovic, 62 A. Zivkovic)- 1 Omonia ( 57’ Crespo OG).

For Which Team Is This Game The Most Important?

This game is more important for PAOK than for Omonia. Furthermore, because  PAOK still has a very strong chance of making it to the round of  32 in the UEFA Europa League. In the meantime, Omonia has only  a point at the moment and will most likely not progress to the round of 32.

Standings After Matchday 4

Granada- 10 PTS

PSV - 6 PTS

PAOK- 5 PTS

Omonia 1 PT
